2012 - Ongoing
The Oculus is a twelve channel sound installation made up of 275 individual speakers. The installations exists as both a sound sculpture and a performance space. As a sound sculpture a soft undulating wave of brown noise moves slowly throughout the piece. The Oculus has been installed at SoMarts in San francisco, in the tower above the Mills College Art Museum and most recently at the Palo Alto Art Center. Currently it is installed in my studio allowing for the continuation of the performance series "Oculus : Interpretation" where both visual and sound artists are invited to create 12 channel compositions inspired by the space.
